“No Stress Zone”

“They are not giants, and you are not a grasshopper.”

Have you ever been in a group of people, and asked yourself, “What am I doing here?” Lately, I have been questioning whether some of the decisions I have made were prompted by the Lord or by my flesh. During today’s prayer, the Lord let me know that, “They are not giants, and you are not a grasshopper.” This blessed my entire soul.

Though, others may see us as small or insignificant, or we may see ourselves in that manner, it is not so. Our self-worth is not determined by man, it is set by God. Furthermore, when you find yourself in a space where you feel out-of-place, maybe these words He spoke to me will help you, too,

“You are out-of-place, but you are in position.”

God will take you to uncomfortable places for you to do a job that will bring Him the glory. It’s not about you. You either can be joyful that He chose you for such a time as this, or your can fight Him and still have to walk that road anyway. It is up to you to decide. Even when you don’t “fit in,” it does not mean you are not exactly where you need to be. Be strong. Out courageous. He has not given you a spirit of fear. He has given you a spirit of power, might, and a sound mind. Use it to let your light shine.

What about you? Have you ever felt lonely in a crowded room? If you are in a position where you think you don’t belong, maybe you don’t, and that may not be such a bad thing. To connect with me further, you can find me on Twitter at @NowWithNicole.

  1. Enjoyed your post. It is true. God called himself a peculiar people, a royal priesthood, and a holy nation. We are in this world but not if this world. If we were to fit in, then there would be no need for us to be satisfied unto God. We are differs and the world will never love us. Remember they didn’t love Jesus when he came. Therefore we are no different.
Be encouraged my sister. God always knows exactly where we are.
