Why Sharing Your Testimony Matters

I Believe I Will Testify

Anyone else miss those “old school” testimony services at church? The ones where everyone in the congregation was encouraged to be a part of the service by sharing his or her story? As I have seen churches become more “mega building” oriented and pastor/leader centric, I notice that the telling of our testimony, in order to glorify God and edify one another, has been lost.

Scripture tells us in Revelation 12:11, we are told that “they overcame him by the Blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony….” Our testimony is not us, it’s for Him, first and foremost, and for others. That’s why my husband, Barry, and I, are starting The Overcomers Project. This will be a ministry- not a traditional church- that is focused on bringing that old feeling back to the fellowship of Christ through His teaching and our testimony. If you are in the Houston area, we invite you to join us on July 17, 2016, from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm. For more information, click on the video.
