Take a Stand Against Fear

I Have not Given You the Spirit of Fear…

This is a true story about what happens when a modern day David meets a modern day Goliath.  It is a testimony of how the Lord can use any willing person to further His purpose.  I am sharing this moment to encourage you to take a stand and never give up or give in to fear.  Your bravery and openness to being used by the Holy Spirit can lead to the building up of His kingdom.  It is important to remember that everything that happens to you is not always just about you.  Sometimes, we go through things, trials, tribulations, and even triumphs to help another person overcome.  I see this all the time in my personal and professional life as an entrepreneur.

…But of power, might, and a sound mind

If you are familiar with The Worthy Project YouTube channel, you may have run across several videos where I have voiced my conviction about the 2011 edition of the New International Version of the Bible and its non-Christian publisher- Harper Collins.  In those videos, I express my Holy Spirit led views on the revisions from the 1984 NIV to the 2011 NIV as well as the fact that it is published by a Non-Christian owned company.  Last week, I did a YouTube video about a recent event at my son’s private school where his class was assigned Romans 12:1-2a as the weekly Scripture memory.  A  a part of the school’s second grade curriculum includes a weekly Scripture memory verse test along with recital of the Scripture in chapel the day.  Last week, the Bible version used for the verse was the NIV.

And be not conformed to this World…

Since the homework sheet I read did not have which version of the NIV, I decided to use the 1984 NIV to help him memorize.  After doing so, I e-mailed his teacher letting her know that we used the 1984 NIV as opposed to the Harper Collins published 2011 version.  The teacher sent a reply thanking me for the notification and then telling me that he needed to use the version that was sent home (apparently on another sheet I had not seen) because the student had to recite the verse in chapel and they all needed to recite same words.  After receiving this response from the teacher, I decided to take the matter up with administration and this video is my testimony of the outcome of the meeting and how the Holy Spirit won!
